7 Exercise Swaps for Total-Body Balance

Although barbell exercises are usually the best way to increase strength and muscle fast, they often disguise muscular imbalances, which can and often do hinder growth. It's important to work unilaterally (one side at a time) as well bilaterally (both sides at a time). Ryan LaPlaga, C.S.C.S., provided us with seven barbell exercises, and counterparts, that can be used to eliminate muscular imbalances that may be holding you back. 



DIRECTIONS: Once per week, swap one of these exercises in for the exercise named after it. Follow the same set and rep structure the original workout calls for.
1.Squat: Split Squat, Bulgarian Split Squat, Stepup
2. Deadlift: Single-Leg Romanian Deadlift
3. Power Clean: Single-Arm Snatches and Cleans
4. Barbell Overhead Press: Alternating Dumbbell Shoulder Press, seated or standing
5. Bench Press: Alternating Dumbbell Bench Press, Floor Press
6. Bentover Row: Single-arm Barbell Rows
7. EZ-bar Skull Crusher: Alternating Dumbbell Skull Crushers

Morning or Night- When to workout

I love working out at night.  Maybe because its cooler in summer, or because my kids are in bed.
Whatever the reason, I always try and get it in.  Now I am one that miss some days so do not think I am Mrs. Workout.

I love to run more than I do an actual workout. :)

Fast and Easy Breakfast Sand which 








Serves: 1
Yields: 1 sandwich
Prep Time: 10 min
Cook Time: 5 min

Ingredients
U.S. Metric Conversion chart
1 teaspoon(s) I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!® Spread
2 slice(s) whole wheat bread
1 egg, cooked (poached, scrambled, or fried)
1 slice(s) tomato
1/2 cup(s) fresh spinach leaves, rinsed, patted dry, and thinly sliced
Directions

Toast bread slices. Evenly spread I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!® Spread on toast.
Top one slice toast with cooked egg and tomato; sprinkle with spinach, then top with remaining slice toast.

Each serving contains: Vitamin A 20%, Vitamin C 8%, Calcium 10%, Iron 15%.
